Yue (Clara) Jia

DOCTORAL CANDIDATE

Clara Jia is a PhD candidate in Developmental and Psychological Sciences at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Her research examines the working experiences that shape employees’ sense of purpose and values, and the role these processes play in both individual fulfillment and organizational success. She has explored the subtle and overt challenges that workers encounter in corporate settings—from internal doubts about core values to systemic obstacles in realizing their potential. In collaboration with colleagues, she has developed concrete, science-backed interventions to create more supportive and engaging workplaces for professionals of all backgrounds. She believes that advancing psychological theory requires not only theoretical innovation but also practical application.


Clara received her bachelor and master’s degrees from Beijing Normal University in Psychology.
