Zichen (Celia) Gu

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Celia is a fourth year B.S. in Psychological and Brain Sciences at UCSB. She has been researching under the guidance of Cohen Lab, examining topics such as immersive roleplay, self-concept, shame regulation, and narrative-based interventions. Her broader research interests bridge social and cognitive psychology, centering on how individuals construct meaning, negotiate identity, and use creative or reflective processes to sustain motivation and mental well-being.
